Jerry Garcia’s “Wolf” Guitar Poster
In 2017, Guernsey’s held a remarkable one-lot auction of
Jerry Garcia’s legendary “Wolf” guitar.
Cherished by Dead Heads worldwide, the auction house had previously sold
the instrument along with another of Jerry’s other famed guitars - “Tiger” - following the beloved performer's death.
More than a decade later, Guernsey’s re-offered “Wolf”
with 100% of the proceeds going to support the
Southern Poverty Law Center.
At the wild auction conducted at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl
in front of a joyful packed house,
“Wolf" sold for a world record $3.5 million!
This 36” x 24” poster was created to commemorate the event.
With most of the posters sold at the time of the auction, only a few remain.
