The Auction

Guernsey’s will be conducting a massive Rock & Roll Auction live at 82 Mercer in New York City’s hip SoHo. Among the items being sold are nearly 1,000 signed photos from NYC legendary Manny's Music. Since the 1930's, famous musicians traveled to Manny's to buy their instruments where it became a tradition to give Manny an inscribed image of themselves. In the end, the walls were covered by these great photos. Now closed, the collection is coming to auction. Signed images of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Buddy Holly, Bob Marley, The Who, Led Zeppelin, U2, the Talking Heads, the Ramones and virtually everybody in between represents perhaps the most extraordinary collection of its type in existence. Also included are such wonderful items as Elvis’ first guitar, 6 orig. paintings by Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon's last car (a Mercedes wagon), 10 cartoons John Lennon helped create resulting in the first music video, Paul McCartney’s boyhood art 50 guitars - some rare, others noteworthy due to their association with legendary musicians - and countless other treasures.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Although there will be hundreds of great Rock & Roll Auction lots being sold on Saturday, the entire Astrid Kirchherr Beatles Collection has been sold and Sunday's auction cancelled. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but it was done in the best interests of preservation and with Astrid in mind. Please note that a number of new and exceptional Beatles lots have been recently added to Saturday's auction.
