21D. 1946 Bob Feller All-Stars vs. Satchel Paige All-Stars Souvenir Program

Before the days of massive salaries, ballplayers did what they could to generate income. Exhibition games played on barnstorming tours helped provide some extra cash. This program, in excellent condition, pitted all-star teams assembled by the hardest thrower from the majors (Bob Feller) against the hardest throwing Negro League pitcher, Satchel Paige. Bob Feller's All-Stars Souvenir Program No. 45080. Orange paper cover features a photgraph of Cleveland Indians pitcher and entrepreneur Bob Feller. Inside are photgraphic images of each member of the two segregated teams, Feller's and Satchel Page's All-Stars, who toured together. Handwritten in pencil are team member numbers and positions.
