Properties from the Beaver Creek Residence of President and Mrs. Gerald R. Ford

in support of the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, OK Corral Camp and Eagle River Scholarship Fund

Saturday, July 7, 2007
Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort
Avon, Colorado

Imagine owning President Ford's golf clubs, his skis, the President and Mrs. Ford's engraved crystal or even their personal American flags! Well, these and literally thousands of other items from the Fords will be up for auction on July 7 at the sensational Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort. Spear-headed by the generosity of the former First Lady, treasures from the President's years in the White House and his life in Beaver Creek will be sold to benefit three separate, wonderful organizations. Guernsey's, the auction house that produced the John F. Kennedy Auction, will be conducting the event.

The President and Mrs. Ford have been one of the most beloved First Families in our nation's history. And to be sure, their efforts in support of our unique area have been substantial. To many, their items will be viewed as treasures. But to many others, the importance of participating in the auction goes further... in that three wonderful and worthy non-profit organizations are being supported by the event. The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens has long been recognized for its environmental importance. Perhaps less well known is the soon to open OK Corral Camp for seriously ill children. The sixth in the Paul Newman Hole-in-the-Wall Camps, OK Corral, on the banks of the Colorado, will bring joy to many of our youngsters in great need. And of course, the Eagle River Scholarship Fund has been well supported by the late President for many years.
