Half a century has passed since Dick Clark first appeared on a local Philadelphia dance show in the early days of television. It is probably fair to say that no one person has had a greater impact on the music that generations from then to now have so enjoyed than this singularly unique man.
Over 900 Rock & Roll related lots from his collection will be auctioned with proceeds in part to benefit the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program, a Division of the TJ Martell Foundation.
The auction was held over two days in the Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center located at Broadway and 60th Street, in New York City. (Just upstairs from the preview.)
