Dizzy Gillespie’s custom-made Martin trumpet model #T3460 and serial #592838 with original case.
The trumpet presented here is a custom-made Martin with the distinctive upturned bell and a Martin 10 mouthpiece. The bell is engraved with “Martin Committée Model Kenosha Wis. USA” and “Dizzy Gillespie” is engraved in decorative, cursive lettering. The trumpet is stamped model number “592838” and serial number “T3460.” The trumpet and case are in excellent condition. The case has a brass plate under the handle engraved “Dizzy Gillespie.” Also included is a black and white photograph by Martin Cohen of Dizzy Gillespie with this trumpet.
